S.S.M.’s team of Equine Welfare
project conducted a camp at Malegaon this year.
Malegaon is a very well known religious site in Nanded District. Every
year grand celebrations are arranged that continue for some days.
This place is also renowned for
animal trading, Many traders of animals from various places come for the
purpose.
Since last five years, SSM has been
offering its services in animal welfare’s through EQUINE Welfare Project in
collaboration with Brooke India Foundation, New Delhi. Hence, the institution considers Malegaon as
a strong platform to impart services of the project for animals like Donkeys
and horses; So far, the project has spread awareness and treat animals in around
110 villages in the surroundings.
There were approximately 2000
donkeys and horses transported to Malegaon for trading this year. The EQUINE
Welfare project team extended various services.
